Dr. Chris Ioannou, born and raised in Suffolk County, graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Chris also completed a two-year pediatric dental residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center, where he obtained extensive training in dentistry pertaining to all aspects of pediatric oral health. Furthermore, he is board certified and has earned the title of Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Chris is specialized in treating children of all ages, including those who are medically compromised and have developmental delay. His goal is to provide outstanding dentistry in a child friendly manner. The most important outcome is for a child to have a pleasurable and fun experience as well as take home the invaluable knowledge of oral hygiene.
Dr. Chris is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, New York State Dental Association, New York Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Suffolk County Dental Society, and the Nassau County Dental Society. He dedicates time educating parents and children about the importance of oral hygiene at local preschools and day care centers. He has also traveled to Madagascar, where he provided dental care to underprivileged children.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Chris spends his time with his beautiful wife, three children, and black Lab. He also enjoys being by the beach, exercising, traveling, reading, and being around his family and friends.
